June Update

A Time of Transition

For the last several weeks, we have been selling furniture, packing boxes, and preparing our home for its future owners. In the process we have uncovered some priceless treasures. These memories have brought smiles to our faces and a few tears to our eyes; we are so grateful to be able to lay down so many beautiful pieces of our lives to pursue this call to go and plant international churches in Spain. God has been so very good to us. Dr Seuss said, “Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened” and we are smiling!

For us, the change we are experiencing in our transition is like a “boot camp”; it is formation for our future work. God is getting us ready. He is changing our lives and our hearts. He is sharpening our character. He is teaching us to depend on Him like never before. He is making us into what we need to be so that the call to go can not only be answered; it can be accomplished. We are excited for what He’s placed in our hearts!

We want to thank you for your prayers. Just this morning, we were overwhelmed once again by God’s grace and pleasantly reminded that people are praying for us. Thank you for loving us and loving Spain enough to pray and ask God to help us. We cannot do this without your, and His, help.

Then many will give thanks … for the gracious favor granted us in answer to the prayers of many (2 Corinthians 1:11).
