Summer 2018 Update
IT’S HAPPENING … TOGETHER!

“Two are better than one…” (Ecclesiastes 4:9a)
There’s something so very significant about “together.” Life is sweeter “together.” Burdens are easier “together.” And the impossible becomes possible “together.”
Consider just a few of the examples of the power of together in Scripture.
- …if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven(Matthew 18:19)
- [Jesus] saw two other brothers, James son of Zebedee and his brother John. They were in a boat with their father Zebedee, preparing their nets. Jesus called them (Matthew 4:21)
- When Jesus had called the Twelve together, he gave them power and authority to drive out all demons and to cure diseases (Luke 9:1)
- For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them (Matthew 18:20)
- When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together (Acts 2:1)
It’s so obvious that we cannot fulfill God’s purpose for our lives alone. We do it together!
THANK YOU for partnering with us to reach the unreached in Spain. TOGETHER, we are redefining the church in Spain and introducing people to the hope found in Jesus Christ.
On Sunday, June 10, Mark shared a message from Ecclesiastes 4 titled “Relationships” in the sermon series, “Meaning-Full: A Journey Through Ecclesiastes” at the International Church in Barcelona. Listen in to discover more about the power of “Together” and the importance of relationship.

We picked up our Speed the Light vehicle, a Nissan X-Trail. It’s perfect for transporting teams (7 seats) and equipment through the narrow European streets of BCN. Thank you to Shift Youth at Oak Creek Assembly of God, Oak Creek, WI and all the students of Wisconsin/Northern Michigan for your INCREDIBLE sacrifices to make this possible. We are so grateful that students are a part of our team!
Summer Highlights

A team from California came with European Initiative out of Berlin, Germany and joined us here at ICB and together, we presented the gospel in plazas around Barcelona through drama, testimony and preaching. Hundreds heard the gospel and dozens said “Yes” to Jesus. One Spanish woman commented that she has never spent her lunch hour in the plaza but for some reason felt compelled to come. Little did she know that earlier that morning, we prayed that God would draw people there to hear the gospel.

During the first week of July, Vacation Bible School at ICB Spain was a tremendous hit! A team from River Valley Church, Minneapolis, MN, came to help us and over 100 kids participated in “Amped.” So many memories made, so many seeds planted, and so many said yes to Jesus. Thank you for praying with us to see this city changed one person, one family, one block, and one neighborhood at a time.
We Need Your Prayers … Here’s How…
1. For our ministry at ICB Spain (the local international church). We continue to grow in our understanding of ministry in Europe. Pray for us and those we invest in through the many ministries and outreaches.
2. For our language learning. We invest about 7 hours per day in language learning. Pray we will have both capacity and endurance through all the challenges. We will continue with our courses through the end of this year.
3. For many people we have, and will develop friendships with. Most of them have never met a Christ-follower or even attended a Christ-centered Church. We love hearing their stories, building friendships, and introducing them to Jesus. So many names and faces!
4. For the upcoming church plant in Girona.Pray for the God’s perfect timing, location, and team. So much is happening in so many places!
5. For our finances. Please thank God with us for His amazing provision through the many generous churches, businesses, and individuals that support us. Pray that we will continue to see every need met.
The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective (James 5:16).
